The Colonia del Sacramento Lighthouse, built atop the ruins of a 17th-century convent, offers visitors a chance to climb its spiral staircase for panoramic vistas of the city's cobblestone streets and the vast Río de la Plata. The lighthouse itself is a picturesque landmark, painted white with a red lantern room. From the top, you can see the historic Barrio Histórico, the port, and across the river to Buenos Aires on clear days. The climb is short but steep, rewarding with a unique perspective on this UNESCO World Heritage site.
