Perched on a rocky promontory at the southern tip of Cabo Polonio, this iconic lighthouse has guided ships since the late 19th century. Visitors can climb the spiral staircase to the top for breathtaking 360-degree views of the wild Atlantic coastline, the endless sand dunes, and the sea lion colony below. The lighthouse is one of the few structures with electricity in the area, powered by solar panels. Its remote location and stark white tower against the blue sky make it a favorite subject for photographers. The surrounding area is also great for spotting migratory birds and enjoying the coastal breeze.

Don't miss

  • Climb to the top for panoramic views of the ocean, dunes, and sea lion colony.
