Located in the heart of Washington, Vivienne's is a charming bistro that marries cozy ambiance with an adventurous Asian fusion menu. Diners have remarked on the inviting atmosphere, ideal for both intimate dinners and casual gatherings. The restaurant shines with its standout dishes, particularly the tender Short Ribs, which have received rave reviews for their juicy flavor. However, guests have experienced some inconsistencies with other menu items, suggesting that while the potential is there, a bit more refinement could elevate the overall dining experience. With a rating of 4.5 on Google and a diverse menu featuring Chinese cuisine, it's a spot worth checking out whether you're a local or just passing through.

Vivienne’s Bistro offers a cozy atmosphere and attentive service, but the food left me with mixed impressions. The sesame shrimp toast had a pleasant crunch and satisfying texture, yet it fell short on delivering the distinct shrimp flavor I was hoping for. The karaage, served with a sweet and sour sauce, lacked the juiciness and depth of flavor I was seeking, leaving it feeling somewhat underwhelming. The fried cod was a letdown. It arrived overly oily, with a crust that crumbled apart. The seasoning was also far too salty, which masked the fish's natural flavor. The squid ink fried rice had an intriguing look but didn’t deliver on taste. The dish was heavy with oil and salt, and the bacon flavor overpowered everything else. It wasn’t unpleasant, but it lacked the depth and seafood-forward notes I expected from a dish like this. The short rib, however, was exceptional. Tender, juicy, and bursting with flavor, it stood out as the clear star of the menu. The sauce, while rich, added complexity, though it could be toned down slightly for a more balanced bite. This is the dish I would return for, even if the rest of the menu fell short. Vivienne’s Bistro has great potential, and with some refinement, the food could better reflect the thoughtfulness of its ambiance and service.

Great Asian Fusion restaurant. Food was really delicious! Highly recommended. My favorite was the Peking Pork Chops. The peaches made the dish. The Slow Braised Beef Short Ribs was so tender and tasty we couldn't stop eating it.

I normally love the seven flavor beef dish but it was pretty tasteless . I don't know if I will return in future. This is sad because wealthy Mercer Island has never had very good food!!!

I really want this establishment to do well. Early June, my wife and I went in for drinks and dinner. After my wife ordered a drink, the waiter returned stating they were out of the necessary ingredients to make her drink. My wife then ordered another drink from the menu, and again was soon told the ingredients weren’t available. Many entree menu items were unavailable. The appetizer and entree we ended up with ordered were pretty good. A week ago, we returned for dinner once again. My first two appetizers choices from the menu were not available, the entrees both my wife and I ordered, were not available. There doesn’t seems to be enough inventory on hand to serve many of their menu items. Or, the menus are significantly out of date with little to no effort to revise them. One of the two front doors were out of service. The restaurant including the wash rooms looked clean. Also, as someone who enjoys diversity, There was very little of it amongst the employees that were present on both visits.
