✨ HighlightWe have driven past here for years. We finally stop here today for brunch. The restaurant has been here for years but still look fresh inside. The menu was not overwhelming; first sign that this was the right choice. The waitress, Erin, went through different menu item in details. Second sign we made the right choice. I settled for the Apple French Toast and chicken sausage and my wife ordered the chicken waffle. The meal was scrumptious. We will definitely be back to try other items on the menu. Who knows I may just order the same meal. That is how good it was...ummmm. I am hungry for more already.→

✨ HighlightCanlis has an incredible atmosphere, amazing service, and hands down one of the best views in Seattle. It really gives off all the Michelin star vibes when it comes to the overall experience. However, I’m giving it 3 stars because the food just doesn’t live up to the hype. I’ve been here twice in the past year, and while nothing is bad, nothing stands out either. The Bread and Butter were the only items I’d rate a solid 5/5. The Wagyu was good, but it's similar to other steaks I’ve had at other high-end spots. The quality is there, but the taste and creativity are just okay. For a place like this, I expected at least one dish that I’d be craving to come back for, but there wasn’t. I really hope they work on making the food as memorable as the rest of the experience because the potential is there! Oh, and the Canlis Salad is a joke, honestly.. please avoid. A very simple green salad for $24 pp.→

✨ HighlightFood came out hot and fast. Service at the table was standard. What stood out to me was the smile and welcome from the hostess. She was warm and charming. Even the bus boy had a smile. Overall, good food, but again, DC prices with a mandatory 22% gratuity added for standard service even though we were only a party of 3. The server did not go above and beyond for a 22% gratuity to be added on and we weren't notified it was mandatory. Not sure this is why the table service was kinda standard....because he already knew he was getting 22%.→

✨ HighlightIf you're an oyster lover, Hama Hama is an absolute must-visit while in Hoodsport! I had the best raw oysters I've ever tasted here—perfectly fresh, briny, and bursting with flavor. The broiled-roasted oysters were just as delicious if not better with all the juice & the bread. The quality of the seafood is truly top-notch, and you can taste the care and expertise that goes into every dish. The service was just as impressive. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive, making the experience all the more enjoyable. They even served our dog water & came back & gave him treats! A big tip: **make reservations**! ✨ HighlightMy friends had tried the 7-course chef's menu at this restaurant before and thought it was amazing, so even though it was a bit out of the way for our weekend road trip, they brought me here specifically. And it was indeed incredibly delicious! My friends were also pleasantly surprised to find that every dish, except for the dessert, was different from what they had before, but just as delicious! The seafood appetizers were extremely fresh, the steak was cooked to perfection, and the pasta and fish were uniquely and wonderfully seasoned. We loved and enjoyed every single dish! The dessert was a bit too sweet for me, but it was beautifully presented with a unique fragrance. The price is very affordable for fine dining. We were joking that you can only have the two appetizers for the same price & quality in Seattle. I will definitely come back, and I highly recommend it to anyone who has the chance to pass by! Also the service was so great, especially after we had some bad experiences in other restaurants during our road trip...→

✨ HighlightStopped in here for a quick glass of wine and some oysters after hearing great things about this restaurant. I was seated promptly at the bar. The service was excellent. The oysters were delicious, fresh, and served with a really flavorful mignonette. The fresh sourdough was incredible, and the butter was served soft - which I definitely will judge a restaurant for if they bring me cold butter with my bread. That was not the case here. It shows care about the customer's experience. I can't wait to come back for a full meal to try some of their entrees. And more oysters!→

✨ HighlightCame here for happy hour on a Monday night and ended up ordering a main (venison loin) and a dessert (banana split) after being impressed by our happy hour dishes. All the dishes tasted balanced and unique - my partner and I had a lot of fun just looking at the menu as we were eating and talking about what we would get next time. We got the venison loin for the main and, for the price, I think it was on the smaller side (but it had our favorite find of the night - the parsnip puree of all the things!). After sharing three happy hour dishes, it felt like the right amount though. The Carolina cocktail wasn’t alcohol forward and went down smoothly, which is exactly what I was looking for. Service was prompt and friendly. Can’t say how it is on a weekend, but definitely recommend checking this place out.→

Each course was well presented and had a fanatic mix of flavors. Staff were attentive, both to allergens and to our experience. Really went above and beyond with everything on our visit. Atmosphere and ambiance were great, colonial inspired with a healthy dose of the modern. Being seated near the hearth was a treat. Could feel the warmth of the fire from our table, and it's always nice to see the staff working. My only dig are the chairs, while they look nice, the back bar rest was at just the right spot to dig into my lower back. Was painful by the very end of the night and still sore in the morning. Even with that one sore spot, would do it all over again. Absolutely worth it to stop by. Even if just for the cocktails.→

Very well done menu, lots of creative and fresh options with all sorts of different proteins (meat, fish, chicken). They do not have a kids menu but they do accommodate kids and can whip up butter noodles, chicken strips, etc. My 6 year had the fish and chips which he loved, we split it and was a perfect serving along with an appetizer. Well done wine list with great WA wine such as long shadows and other regions. Full bar with creative cocktails and high quality mixers, such as Topo Chico sparkling water and fever tree Ginger Beer. Drinks were made by Nico and he did not disappoint. The jerk wings were delicious especially with the dipping sauce that came with them. We also tried the Trini beef pie. He stated it was spicy but we didn't get any spice, it's was still flavorful. My friend did a personal bowl, I think that's what it was called. It came with roti, curried chicken, and chick peas. The dish did not disappoint. I ordered the pepperpot off the dinner menu. It had brisket, beef stew meat, and oxtail. The flavors were great. ✨ HighlightAtoma was everything we expected minus the food. Some dishes were stellar and some were barely touched by our party. The crumpets really surprised me, as I'm not big on crumpets, however these have got to be the best I've ever had. The salmon was moist but a bit under seasoned. The rosette cookies taste like crunchy onion rings and not bad overall. The cheek is a skip, also mediocre. They were sold out of the Lions Mane katsu which must have been the dish everyone goes to Atoma for. Service was impeccable though and we saw many people on dates here enjoying their time. We enjoyed our stay but wished the food was less pricey for the quality received. The cocktails were very mediocre, most of the group only got a starter cocktail did not order a second round. It was a nice one and only time experience!→

✨ HighlightAbsolutely loved our time here. The food was delicious and you can tell a lot of thought and time went into conceptualizing and preparing the dishes. The fried chicken and juicy and flavorful, the biscuit was amazing too. The grits with shrimp was very tasty and beautifully presented. The restaurant is in the oldest hotel in WA and has such great rustic charm. It's animal friendly and you're bound to be greeted by a dog or cat at some point, which adds to the fun. Can't wait to go back.→
