Housed in the former Seatack Life-Saving Station, the Virginia Beach Surf & Rescue Museum traces the evolution of beach rescue from the U.S. Life-Saving Service to modern lifeguards, alongside the rise of surfing culture. Exhibits include vintage surfboards, rescue boats, and photographs of early surfmen. Visitors can explore the restored building, see a recreated keeper's quarters, and learn about the 1878 wreck of the USS Huron. The museum offers a compact but rich look at the coast's dual legacy of danger and recreation.
