The Convair XC-99 is a one-of-a-kind prototype cargo aircraft that served as the Air Force's largest land-based transport in its era. Now preserved at the Pima Air & Space Museum near Davis–Monthan Air Force Base, this double-deck behemoth showcases innovative post-WWII engineering. Visitors can marvel at its immense size and unique design, including a distinctive twin-boom tail and cavernous fuselage. The aircraft is displayed outdoors, allowing guests to walk around and appreciate its scale.
