North Bay Air Museum is a hidden gem for aviation enthusiasts, located in a historic hangar at the Charles M. Schulz–Sonoma County Airport. The museum displays a collection of restored vintage aircraft, including a 1940s Stearman biplane and a 1950s Cessna, alongside artifacts like flight suits, propellers, and photographs. Visitors can get up close to the planes, read about their histories, and even watch small planes take off from the adjacent runway. The volunteer-run museum offers an intimate, hands-on experience of aviation history.

Don't miss

  • See a restored 1942 Stearman PT-17 biplane used for training during WWII.
  • Browse memorabilia including vintage flight instruments and pilot logbooks.
  • Watch planes take off and land from the airport runway just outside the hangar.
