Highland Light, also known as Cape Cod Light, stands as the oldest and tallest lighthouse on Cape Cod, perched on the edge of a 100-foot cliff in Truro. Visitors can climb the tower for panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean and the surrounding dunes. The adjacent museum, housed in the keeper's house, tells the story of the lighthouse and the maritime history of the Outer Cape. The light has been guiding ships since 1797 and was moved inland in 1996 to prevent erosion.
