We had the most amazing wedding at Osteria July 2024. From the beginning the entire staff was so attentive, accommodating, and thoughtful when it came to planning beforehand and throughout the night. From the cocktails, late night pizza, and the dessert room our guests only had great things to say. Our wedding felt like the ultimate intimate dinner party with all 120 of our loved ones and we are so happy to have a spot to always go back to for future celebrations. I’m not overstating that this is a fabulous restaurant that makes me happy to live in Philadelphia. Professional service. Large portions Beautiful environment Good wine list. Clean location. I was pleasantly surprised by the portion sizes. The focaccia is plentiful. They did get our wine mixed up but hey, Italian wine is good regardless of the grape. $400 for 4 people. We each had 2 glasses of wine. No dessert.
Osteria provided one of our best meals in quite some time. Equal or better than some of our meals in Italy two months ago. We took our daughter and her boyfriend to happy hour to accommodate some other appointments and shared about seven plates. Each plate had at least an extra twist or two that elevated it from good to excellent. Service was excellent; not too much attention but just right. Prices very reasonable and ambiance made for a very enjoyable meal. Osteria on our list for future meals.
Hands down, this is the best Happy Hour in the city. My husband and I got to enjoy the last of warm November in the beautiful heated outdoor pergola. Grilled octopus, steak tartare, eggplant polpette, rigatoni with chicken livers and margherita pizza. All delicious! Did I say this was Happy Hour?? They offer specialty cocktails and a few decent wines for this special menu. We have never been disappointed here. Whether it's dinner, group events or New Year's Eve. But on a Monday night in Philly spending under $70 for a phenomenal meal is priceless. I have to add that the service was more fitting an expensive tasting menu and not a Happy Hour. Questions about our familiarity with the menu, courteous suggestions, changed out plates and silver. All above and beyond. Osteria continues to evolve and hold it's own in the vibrant Philly food scene.
