The Presidio County Courthouse, built in 1886, is a centerpiece of Marfa's historic downtown. Its Victorian architecture features a distinctive red sandstone exterior, arched windows, and a four-sided clock tower that rises above the town. Visitors can walk around the exterior to admire the intricate details, and the interior retains original woodwork and a grand staircase. The courthouse remains an active government building, but the public is welcome to explore the first floor and view historical exhibits. It is a popular spot for photography, especially at sunset when the stone glows warmly.
