The Lāhainā Jodo Mission is a serene Buddhist temple established by Japanese immigrants in the early 20th century, rebuilt after the 1923 fire. Its centerpiece is a 12-foot-tall bronze statue of Amida Buddha, one of the largest of its kind outside Asia, set in a peaceful garden. Visitors can also see a three-story traditional pagoda, a temple bell, and a meditation hall. The mission offers a quiet retreat from the bustle of Lahaina, with ocean views and a chance to learn about the Japanese cultural heritage in Hawaii.
