Housed in a rustic stone building built by the Civilian Conservation Corps in the 1930s, the Moraine Park Museum offers a deep dive into the geological and natural history of Rocky Mountain National Park. Exhibits explain how glaciers carved the valleys, how mountains rose, and how ecosystems evolved. Interactive displays, fossil specimens, and a large topographical model bring the park's story to life. The adjacent amphitheater hosts ranger-led programs in summer, with the Moraine Park meadow as a backdrop.
Don't miss
- Hands-on geology exhibits including a glacier model and rock samples
- Historic CCC-built stone architecture with large windows overlooking Moraine Park
- Ranger-led programs at the outdoor amphitheater during summer months
