Ruby Falls is a breathtaking underground waterfall located deep within Lookout Mountain in Chattanooga. Discovered in 1928, the falls cascade 145 feet through a limestone cavern, illuminated by colored lights. Visitors take a guided elevator descent and walk through the cave's passages, seeing stalactites, stalagmites, and other formations before reaching the main chamber. The experience combines natural wonder with a bit of history, as the cave was accidentally found during drilling for a railroad tunnel.
