The Chase–Lloyd House is a historic three-story brick mansion built between 1769 and 1774, renowned for its exceptional Georgian architecture and lavish interior details. Originally the home of Samuel Chase, a signer of the Declaration of Independence, and later of Edward Lloyd IV, a Maryland governor, the house features ornate woodwork, grand staircases, and period furnishings. Visitors can tour rooms that reflect the opulence of Annapolis's colonial elite, including a stunning ballroom and a library with original paneling. The house stands as a testament to the city's pre-Revolutionary prosperity.
