The Abbot's Kitchen is a remarkably well-preserved medieval kitchen dating from the 14th century, one of only a few such structures remaining in Europe. Located within the grounds of Glastonbury Abbey, this octagonal building features a central hearth and a pyramidal roof with louvered openings for smoke to escape. Visitors can step inside to see the massive fireplaces and imagine the grand feasts once prepared for the abbey's monks and guests. The kitchen's innovative design and excellent state of preservation make it a highlight of any abbey visit.
