Kenilworth Castle, founded in the 1120s, is one of Britain’s largest castle ruins. Its massive Norman keep, one of the finest in England, dominates the site. The castle gained fame when Robert Dudley, Earl of Leicester, lavishly entertained Queen Elizabeth I here in 1575. Visitors can explore the towering keep, the Tudor gardens painstakingly recreated to their Elizabethan design, and the ruined great hall. The site offers a vivid glimpse into medieval and Tudor power, with plenty of space to roam and imagine courtly life.
