The equestrian statue of Robert the Bruce at Stirling Castle stands on the castle esplanade, greeting visitors with a commanding presence. Sculpted by Andrew Currie in 1877, the bronze statue shows the king in full armour, mounted on a horse, with his battle axe raised. It commemorates Bruce's role in securing Scottish independence, particularly his victory at Bannockburn. The statue offers a dramatic photo opportunity against the backdrop of the castle and the surrounding landscape.
