Rydal Hall

Rydal Hall is a 17th-century country house set in 34 acres of formal and wild gardens, including a famous 'Grot' waterfall. Originally built for the Fleming family, it now operates as a Christian conference centre and retreat, but is open to the public for its gardens, tea room, and walking trails. The gardens feature terraces, a lake, and a Japanese-style bridge, while the hall itself retains period features like a grand staircase. Visitors can enjoy cream teas in the stable cafe or explore the wooded valley leading to Rydal Water.
