St Mungo Museum of Religious Life and Art is the only public museum in the world dedicated solely to religion. Opened in 1993, its galleries display objects from major faiths, including Christianity, Islam, Judaism, Hinduism, Buddhism, and Sikhism, alongside a section on Scottish religious history. The museum also features a Zen garden and a temporary exhibition space. Visitors can see a 16th-century crucifix, a Hindu shrine, and a Tibetan sand mandala, all presented with context about belief and practice.
