The Edinburgh Dungeon is an immersive entertainment experience that brings the city's gruesome past to life. Located in the historic Old Town, it features live actors, special effects, and dark humor as visitors walk through themed scenes depicting events like the plague, witch trials, and the infamous body snatchers Burke and Hare. The journey includes two rides: a free-fall drop ride called 'The Descent' and a boat ride through a dark tunnel. It's designed to be both frightening and fun, with a theatrical storytelling style that appeals to thrill-seekers and history buffs alike. The experience lasts about 90 minutes and is not recommended for young children.
