The Menai Strait is a narrow tidal channel that separates the island of Anglesey from mainland Wales, renowned for its natural beauty and engineering landmarks. Visitors can take boat tours to see seals and seabirds, or enjoy kayaking, sailing, and fishing in its waters. The strait is spanned by two iconic bridges: the Menai Suspension Bridge (1826) and the Britannia Bridge (1850). Walking or cycling along the shore provides stunning views of Snowdonia's mountains. The town of Caernarfon sits on the mainland side, offering easy access to the strait's attractions.
