We booked Couqley for our anniversary dinner following a recommendation from a friend and we were not disappointed. Booking was easy and the staff ensured we had a good table. As soon as we were seated Dennis introduced himself as our waiter for the evening, and he was brilliant throughout. Very attentive, polite, and good humoured! We were not made to feel rushed during our meal, which is far too rare at restaurants nowadays. We had oysters, starters, mains and shared a dessert, all of which were good sized portions, and most importantly very tasty! The pain perdu was a particular highlight! We will definitely be returning soon with friends and family, and we would highly recommend and evening out to Couqley’s!
A fantastic spot for an authentic, romantic night out. The cozy setting is perfect, and the staff truly make it special—they’re incredibly friendly, attentive, and genuinely happy to help plan a great date night. We had the classic award-winning steak frites paired with wine, and both were spot on. The only drawback was the noise level—it was quite loud, so chatting took a little effort.
