First Landing State Park, located at the mouth of the Chesapeake Bay, is a natural haven offering diverse outdoor activities. The park features over 20 miles of hiking trails through maritime forests, cypress swamps, and dunes, as well as a beautiful bay beach for swimming and sunbathing. Camping is available with both tent and RV sites. Historically, the park marks the spot where English colonists first landed in 1607 before settling at Jamestown.
