The Sturgeon Bay Canal Light is a striking red brick lighthouse that has guided vessels into the Sturgeon Bay Ship Canal since the early 20th century. Situated at the canal's Lake Michigan entrance, it offers visitors a chance to see the convergence of lake and canal traffic. The surrounding park provides excellent vantage points for watching ships navigate the narrow channel. While the lighthouse itself is not open to the public, the grounds are perfect for a leisurely stroll and photography, especially during sunset.
Don't miss
- Watch ships and pleasure boats navigate the canal entrance from the adjacent park.
- Capture photos of the iconic red brick lighthouse against the blue waters of Lake Michigan.
- Stroll along the shoreline path for views of the canal and the open lake.
