Spokane Falls is a stunning cascade on the Spokane River, dropping 100 feet over a series of basalt rock ledges right in the heart of downtown. Unlike many urban waterfalls, it remains powerful year-round, with the most dramatic flow in spring during snowmelt. Visitors can view the falls from multiple vantage points: the paved pathways of Riverfront Park, the Monroe Street Bridge, or from above on the SkyRide gondola. The falls are especially photogenic at sunset when the light catches the mist.
Don't miss
- Stand on the Monroe Street Bridge for a head-on view of the main cascade.
- Take the SkyRide gondola for a bird's-eye perspective over the falls.
- Visit in spring for the most powerful water flow from snowmelt.
