Rubicon Point Light is a small, historic lighthouse situated on the rugged west shore of Lake Tahoe at an elevation of 6,300 feet, making it one of the highest lighthouses in the country. Built in 1916, it guided boats along the lake's steep shoreline. Today, visitors can hike to the site via the Rubicon Trail, enjoying panoramic lake views and a glimpse into Tahoe's maritime history. The lighthouse itself is a charming wooden structure, and the surrounding area offers excellent photo opportunities and a peaceful connection to the lake's past.
