Pope Estate is a beautifully preserved mansion within the Tallac Historic Site on Lake Tahoe's south shore. Built in 1894 by railroad magnate George Pope, the estate showcases the opulent summer lifestyle of the era's elite. Visitors can tour the grand rooms, stroll through manicured gardens, and walk along the lakefront. The estate also features a museum with exhibits on Tahoe's history.
