Wilson Mountain offers the most challenging hike in Sedona, ascending over 2,000 feet to the highest point within the city limits. The trail passes through pinyon-juniper woodlands and open slopes, culminating in sweeping views of the entire Sedona area, including Cathedral Rock, Bell Rock, and the Verde Valley. Hikers should be prepared for steep switchbacks and exposed sections. The summit's 360-degree panorama is a fitting reward for the effort, showcasing the vast red rock landscape.

Don't miss

  • Reach the summit for unobstructed views of Sedona's red rocks
  • Spot wildlife like mule deer and birds of prey along the trail
  • Enjoy a picnic at the top with views of the San Francisco Peaks
