Devil's Kitchen Sinkhole is a massive collapse feature in Sedona's red rock country, formed when an underground cavern's roof gave way. A short, easy hike from the parking area leads to a viewing platform where visitors can peer into the 50-foot-deep, 150-foot-wide sinkhole. The site offers a fascinating look at the area's karst geology and the erosive power of water. Interpretive signs explain the formation process, and the surrounding landscape is dotted with juniper and pinon pine.
