The Painted Ladies, also known as the 'Seven Sisters' or 'Postcard Row,' are a set of six identical Victorian houses at 710-720 Steiner Street, painted in striking pastel hues. Built between 1892 and 1896, they survived the 1906 earthquake and have become a symbol of San Francisco's architectural charm. Visitors flock to Alamo Square Park across the street to capture the iconic view of these houses with the Transamerica Pyramid and other skyscrapers behind them. The houses are private residences, so admiration is from the outside only.
