Mission Dolores, officially known as Mission San Francisco de Asís, is the oldest surviving structure in San Francisco, dating back to 1776. It was the sixth of California's 21 Spanish missions and offers a glimpse into the city's early history. Visitors can tour the original adobe chapel, which features a simple yet beautiful interior with original artwork and artifacts. The adjacent cemetery is the resting place of many early settlers, including Native Americans and Spanish colonists.
