Highmark Stadium

Highmark Stadium is a modern, open-air stadium situated along the Monongahela River in Pittsburgh's historic Station Square district. The stadium is the home ground of the Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC, a professional soccer team competing in the USL Championship. The venue features a natural grass pitch, covered seating on the main grandstand, and open bleachers on the opposite side, providing excellent sightlines from every seat. The riverside location offers stunning views of the Pittsburgh skyline and the Smithfield Street Bridge, adding to the matchday experience. A bit of history

Highmark Stadium opened in 2013, replacing the aging Falconi Field as the home of the Pittsburgh Riverhounds. It was built on the site of a former rail yard in Station Square, a historic area once a major railroad hub. The stadium was funded through a public-private partnership and named after Highmark, a health insurance company.
