The Mackinac Bridge, often called the 'Mighty Mac,' is a 5-mile suspension bridge connecting Michigan's Upper and Lower Peninsulas. Completed in 1957, it was the longest suspension bridge in the world at the time and remains a marvel of engineering. Driving across offers breathtaking views of the Straits of Mackinac, Mackinac Island, and the surrounding Great Lakes. Visitors can also walk the bridge during the annual Labor Day Bridge Walk, or view it from nearby parks and beaches.
Don't miss
