The Lāhainā Jodo Mission is a serene Buddhist temple established by Japanese immigrants in the early 20th century. The mission's centerpiece is a 12-foot-tall bronze statue of Amida Buddha, one of the largest of its kind outside Asia. Visitors can also see a traditional Japanese temple bell (bonsho) and explore the peaceful grounds with ocean views. The temple offers a quiet contrast to Lahaina's busy streets, inviting reflection and cultural appreciation.
