ʻIolani Palace in downtown Honolulu is a unique historical landmark, the only royal palace in the United States. Built in 1882 by King Kalakaua, it served as the official residence of the Hawaiian monarchy until the overthrow in 1893. Visitors can tour the restored rooms, including the grand throne room and private chambers, seeing original furnishings and artifacts. The palace grounds also feature the Coronation Pavilion and royal gardens, offering a glimpse into Hawaii's regal past.
