Bullhead Trail is a strenuous hiking route in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, ascending to the summit of Mount Le Conte. Starting near the Roaring Fork Motor Nature Trail, the trail climbs steadily through mixed hardwood forest and pine stands, passing rock outcrops and offering occasional views. The final stretch traverses a ridge with expansive vistas of the surrounding mountains. Hikers are rewarded at the top with panoramic views and the chance to visit LeConte Lodge. This trail is less crowded than others, providing a more solitary wilderness experience.
Don't miss
- Summit Mount Le Conte for panoramic views of the Smokies.
- Spot wildflowers and diverse tree species along the ascent.
- Enjoy the solitude of a less-traveled trail to the peak.
