Henderson Beach State Park is a 208-acre protected area in Destin featuring over 6,000 feet of untouched beachfront. The park's dunes, some reaching 20 feet high, are home to rare coastal plants and wildlife. Visitors can hike a mile-long nature trail through scrub and dune ecosystems, or swim and sunbathe on the clean, lifeguard-patrolled beach. The park provides picnic pavilions and boardwalks, offering a quieter alternative to the busier public beaches.
