The Bubbles are a pair of distinctive, dome-shaped mountains in Acadia National Park, formed by glacial activity. Hikers can ascend via the Bubbles Trail, which leads to panoramic vistas of Jordan Pond, the Atlantic Ocean, and the park's rugged coastline. The North Bubble and South Bubble each provide unique perspectives, with the South Bubble featuring a famous balanced rock. Photographers flock here at sunrise or sunset for dramatic lighting over the pond and forests. The moderate hike is family-friendly and rewards visitors with some of the most recognizable views on Mount Desert Island.
