Blackwell is an early 20th-century house designed by architect Mackay Hugh Baillie Scott, set on the eastern shore of Windermere. It is considered one of the finest surviving examples of the Arts and Crafts movement, with interiors that showcase handcrafted woodwork, stained glass, and original furniture. The house offers a glimpse into the lifestyle of its original owners, the Holt family, with rooms arranged as they would have been in the 1910s. The terraced gardens feature herbaceous borders and a wildflower meadow, with stunning views over the lake.
