Smeaton's Tower is the restored upper portion of the third Eddystone Lighthouse, originally built by John Smeaton in 1759. Moved to Plymouth Hoe in 1884, it now stands as a memorial to Smeaton's engineering genius. Visitors can climb the tower's internal stairs to enjoy panoramic views of Plymouth Sound from the lantern room. The tower also houses exhibits on lighthouse history and Smeaton's innovative design.
