Port Isaac is a quintessential Cornish fishing village, its steep, winding lanes lined with whitewashed cottages and flower-filled gardens. The harbour, still used by local fishing boats, is the heart of the village. Visitors can explore the old town, browse galleries and craft shops, and enjoy fresh seafood at harbourside pubs. The village gained fame as the filming location for the TV series Doc Martin (as Portwenn), drawing fans to recognizable spots like the doctor's surgery and the school. Despite its popularity, Port Isaac retains a genuine, working-fishing-village atmosphere.
