The Long Man of Wilmington is a striking hill figure carved into the chalk of Windover Hill, part of the South Downs. Standing 235 feet tall, the figure holds two staves and is thought to date from the 16th century, though its exact origins remain mysterious. Visitors can view the figure from a distance or hike up to the site for a closer look. The surrounding area offers stunning views of the Sussex countryside and the English Channel. It’s a popular spot for walkers and photographers.
