Segontium is a Roman fort and museum located on the outskirts of Caernarfon, established around 77–78 AD during the Roman conquest of Wales. The site features the foundations of barracks, granaries, and the commander's house, offering a glimpse into Roman military life. The on-site museum displays a collection of artifacts excavated from the fort, including coins, pottery, tools, and stone inscriptions. Visitors can explore the ruins and learn about the Roman presence in Wales, which lasted until the late 4th century. The site is managed by Cadw and provides a peaceful, educational experience.
