Tell Abraq is a prominent archaeological site located on the coast of Umm Al Quwain, featuring a stratified mound that spans over 4,000 years of human occupation. Excavations have uncovered a large fortified settlement from the Umm Al Nar period (c. 2500–2000 BCE), including a circular stone tower, collective tombs, and pottery. Later Iron Age layers reveal a fort and evidence of trade with Mesopotamia and the Indus Valley. Visitors can walk among the ruins and see the exposed stone structures, though the site is unshaded and requires sturdy footwear.
