Jumeirah Mosque is one of the most beautiful mosques in Dubai, a graceful, symmetrical structure in the medieval Fatimid style, built from creamy stone and especially photogenic when floodlit at night. Its real significance for visitors is that it's one of the few mosques in the UAE open to non-Muslims, through guided tours run under the motto 'Open Doors, Open Minds.' These tours, led by knowledgeable local guides, welcome questions and offer a warm, accessible introduction to Islam and Emirati culture, a genuine highlight for curious travellers.

The tours include traditional Emirati refreshments and a chance to learn about prayer, dress, and customs in an open, friendly setting. It's an excellent counterpoint to Dubai's malls and skyscrapers, and a respectful, welcoming cultural experience. Modest dress is required (and traditional attire can be provided).
