St. George's Cathedral is a stunning Baroque masterpiece and the spiritual heart of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church. Built between 1744 and 1760, its twin towers and ornate facade dominate the skyline. Inside, visitors are awed by the lavish rococo interior, intricate frescoes, and the miraculous icon of the Virgin Mary. The cathedral also houses the relics of St. George and serves as the seat of the Major Archbishop. A visit includes the adjacent Metropolitan Palace and offers panoramic views of Lviv from the hilltop grounds.
