Kiira Hydroelectric Power Station, also known as Owen Falls Extension, is a large power plant located adjacent to the Nalubaale dam on the Nile. Completed in 2003, it significantly boosted Uganda's electricity generation. The station is visible from the river, and visitors can see its modern infrastructure alongside the historic dam.
