Set was great. The duck cutlet (baklava) was the most impressive. The general manager was very helpful. The waiters were also attentive. I've been to restaurants with 1 star, and I 100% recommend this restaurant, it's even better!
One of the best meals I ever had. Definitely coming back. Food philosophy is clean modern cooking, sophisticated take rooted in Anatolian and Middle Eastern cooking borrowing elements from Greece. Outstanding rich but clean flavour in dishes, not heavy, excellent presentation and service. Broad wine list rooted in local wines with multiple interesting vintages and some international labels. Duck piadilla (Moroccan inspired dish) was one of the most interesting plates I had anywhere. The prawns in kataifi dish is the signature of the chef.
An exceptional culinary journey at Efendy! Opted for the 11-dish tasting menu and was treated to an array of exquisite, authentic Turkish dishes. Each dish was a delightful explosion of flavors, truly showcasing the richness of Turkish cuisine. The ambiance added to the experience, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. Highly recommend for an unforgettable dining adventure!
well, this is going to be a bit long, but read it... I gave the restaurant only 1 star, because of the service, but I'll start with the good things: the food is very good and well thought of, and the design is excellent. we came with intention of having the tasting menu, and was excited for the experience. the price was 1500 TL (75 EURO), Before wine, cocktails or service. the service was friendly, but right from the start - it was obvious there was no order, and that no one is controlling the stages of our meal. none of the first three dishes was introduced to us as it should, and everything felt rushed. we kept asking different waiters "what is that?", but at the forth dish we were just served plates by the runner boy with no words, and were left guessing. at that part - I got a bit pissed. the very nice, but confused shift manager tried to fix our experience, but I got to a very simple conclusion - none of the staff were trained to to the tasting menu in English. after the 7th dish ( which was very good) I got up from the table and approached him in a side corner. I was very nice, and explained to him that though the food is well executed, the presentation us non-existant. I manage a restaurant in Tel Aviv and I don't hold other people to my standards, but I felt I should have ordered singular dishes from the menu. though everyone were very nice, nothing helped our poor evening. the total bill amounted to 5800 TL (285 Euros) for 2 guests, including 10% tip. that was the worst dining experience with the best food I've had in a long time. sad to say that if we were local we would have gotten a better value for our money.
