St. Giragos Armenian Church is a monumental cathedral in the heart of Diyarbakır's old city, originally built in the 13th century and rebuilt in the 19th century. After decades of neglect and damage, it underwent a comprehensive restoration completed in 2011, returning it to its former glory. The church features a large central dome, intricate stone carvings, and a spacious interior that can hold over 1,000 worshippers.
