Bayezid I Mosque, commissioned by the fourth Ottoman sultan in the late 14th century, is a landmark of early Ottoman imperial architecture. Its spacious prayer hall is crowned by a massive dome, supported by sturdy piers, and flanked by two elegant minarets. The mosque's courtyard features a marble fountain for ablutions, and the interior is adorned with intricate tilework and calligraphy. Visitors can appreciate the blend of Seljuk and Byzantine influences that characterize this historic structure.
